"Penedono Castle was probably built in the 14th century by D. Vasco Fernandes Coutingo, lord of Couto de Leomil. This small unusually shaped castle (with prism towers and pyramidal battlements) is actually an excellent viewpoint. Castle’s restoring works lasted until 1953. (National Monument)" In: Lifecooler
